The short version
  • A person is always in the loop. You choose how close.
  • Your AI always says it’s an AI, and we never write fake reviews or fake photos of people.
  • Your data lives in your own HighLevel account. Bots don’t get your passwords, and we don’t sell your data.
  • Texting is registered and consent-based.
  • When the AI gets something wrong, we own it and fix the source.

A human is always in the loop

You pick how close you want to be.

Some owners want to approve every text before it goes out. Others would rather let routine replies go and check a daily log after the fact. Most start close and loosen up as they build trust. Every option keeps a person in charge. We set it to your comfort level and change it whenever you ask.

  • ✓Hands-on: you approve individual messages before they send.
  • ✓Check-in: routine replies go out, and you review the daily log.
  • ✓Somewhere in between: routine stuff runs, and anything unusual comes to you.

Lines we don’t cross

These are our own policies. They aren’t goals or “best efforts.” They’re the rules.

  • ✓We never use AI to pretend to be a human.
  • ✓We never write fake reviews.
  • ✓We never create fake photos of people.
  • ✓Your AI always says it’s an AI. When a customer reaches out, your assistant introduces itself as an AI member of your support team. Nobody gets tricked.

If a project needs any of those things, it isn’t a Stay Gone project.

Why we started Stay Gone

A tool is only as good as the hands it’s in.

AI is a tool. Used well, it gives people back their time and lets them help more people. Like any tool, it can also be misused. A hammer can build a family a home, or it can break a window. What matters is who’s holding it and how carefully they use it.

I started Stay Gone because I kept meeting owners and employees who were being held back. The problem wasn’t effort or talent. It was software that didn’t talk to each other and operations held together with sticky notes. That mess caps how far a business can grow, and it caps what the business can afford to pay its people.

Good automation fixes that. Careless automation makes new problems. We only do the first kind.

The two fears we hear most

“My competitors are using AI. Will they grow faster and push me out?”

It’s a fair worry. Businesses that answer faster and follow up better tend to win the customer. The good news is that these tools aren’t just for big companies anymore. A small shop can set up an AI receptionist, missed-call text-back, and follow-up automations without hiring a tech team. Our whole job is to make that simple and safe for small businesses, so the size of your team doesn’t decide how good your service is.

“If I give AI my info or passwords, will it take over my business?”

No. The AI we set up does the specific jobs we build it for, such as answering common questions, booking appointments, or sending follow-ups, and nothing more. It doesn’t get your passwords. It doesn’t get the keys to your bank account or your accounts. You decide how much it does on its own and how much comes to you for approval. And you can turn it off anytime and have a person on your team handle things in HighLevel instead.

Where your data lives

Your information stays on HighLevel, not scattered across random apps.

We build on HighLevel (also called GoHighLevel), an established business platform used by agencies and small businesses. According to HighLevel’s public privacy and security page, the platform:

  • ✓Goes through an annual SOC 2 Type II assessment covering security, availability, and confidentiality
  • ✓Encrypts data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
  • ✓Runs on major cloud infrastructure (HighLevel lists Google Cloud Platform)
  • ✓Supports two-factor authentication, user permissions, audit logs, and single sign-on
  • ✓Uses regular third-party penetration testing and automated vulnerability scanning

No platform is perfect, and no honest company will tell you anything online is 100% secure. What we can tell you is that we chose a platform that has its security checked by outside auditors, and we set up your account with care.

Texting, calling, and passwords

We follow the rules so your business doesn’t get burned.

  • ✓Registered texting. Business texting in the U.S. goes through carrier registration called A2P 10DLC. Stay Gone’s own texting is registered and approved under A2P 10DLC, and we handle the registration process for our clients too.
  • ✓Consent first. We follow federal texting and calling rules, including TCPA consent requirements. People get messages because they asked for them.
  • ✓Easy opt-out. Anyone can reply STOP and stop getting texts.
  • ✓Passwords stay private. We never share passwords in chats or post them anywhere public, and we keep them out of anything the AI can see.

When the AI gets something wrong

It happens. When it does, it’s on us.

We won’t tell you the AI never makes mistakes. Nothing that talks to customers is perfect, and that includes people.

If your assistant gives a wrong answer, that’s on whoever designed the bot and the workflow. That’s us. Here’s what we do about it:

  • ✓We own it. We don’t blame you, your customer, or “the AI.”
  • ✓We fix the source. We correct the information or instructions that caused the wrong answer.
  • ✓We build in double-checks. When the assistant finds information that conflicts, it doesn’t guess. Conflicting information always goes to a person to confirm.
  • ✓We keep improving. Logs show us where it struggled, and we tighten it over time.

Three myths, straight answers

Myth: “AI makes things up.”

The truth: It can. AI tools sometimes give confident answers that are wrong. That’s why we limit your assistant to your business’s real information, keep a human in the loop, and fix issues as soon as we spot them. Making things up is a known risk, so we design around it.

Myth: “AI steals your data.”

The truth: The real question is where your data goes and who can get to it. Your business data lives in your HighLevel account, which has outside security audits and encryption. We don’t feed passwords to bots, and we don’t sell your data.

Myth: “AI takes your job.”

The truth: The AI we set up doesn’t replace people. It takes the repeat work off their plates so great people can do more of what they’re great at. That means more owners can offer excellent service at a fair price. It also makes starting a business cheaper and faster than it used to be, and that’s good news for anyone who’s ever wanted to work for themselves.

What we keep reading

We stay current so you don’t have to.

AI changes fast, and so do the risks. Every week we review respected, independent sources on AI safety and security, and we update how we build when we learn something new.

Trust is earned. We plan to earn it.

We don’t have a wall of testimonials yet, and we won’t fake one. What we have is a simple promise: we’ll tell you the truth about what AI can and can’t do, keep a person in charge, and own it when something goes wrong.

Hand off the repeat work. Keep the judgment. Stay gone.
